The ‘brain-pocket’ relationship

Mairi, one of our members, enjoyed Alisa Barcan’s personal finance talk.

On a cold February evening a group of JCI members and guests gathered to listen to Alisa Barcan, a financial coach,  who gave a workshop about the “Brain-pocket connection ”. Alisa had a very confident manner and was not fazed by technical difficulties even for a moment.

We started with a few games and with trying to understand (everyone individually) our relationship with money. We imagined a meeting with “Money” -what he/she would look like, where we would meet and what they’d drink. This proved to be fun. We then dived deeper into financial planning and budgeting.

It was a relaxed evening and everyone had an opportunity to chat and socialise with a glass of wine whilst learning new things. Not bad for a weekday evening. As per tradition several attendees gathered in a nearby pub after the event to discuss the subject of money as well as just to have a catch-up a good chat and a pint.
